Found some lowering springs in time for Japfest. Oddly the back barely changed at all, although you can see the difference on the front. Best thing is that the ride hasn't changed, and I haven't managed to scrape it on anything. Also fitted the Datsun1200 wing mirrors. Aside from the ongoing search of the missing parts, I'd say that's pretty much it and will likely put it up for sale soon

Ok, I didn't keep it like that.............
I bought these rather nice Watanabe wheels for it, which are worth more than the car. Was considering doing an AE 86 style strip but that looked like too much effort, so I just painted the bottom half matt black. I also put some sitckers on to increase horsepower and my chance with the ladies. Now I just need to find someone who makes springs for it and I'm done
Other than a new alternator it's running surprisingly well, with an auto choke that actually works. Only about a month until Japfest, and after that I'll probably look at getting something new whilst the Yugo goes back on the road

Thanks for the info. Can't do anything until payday, so it would seem a gamble may be in order to get this lowered properly (and by properly I mean not cutting the springs, which everyone is trying to get me to do)

Trying to find some lowering springs for my car (1.3 EE80) but am getting some conflicting information. Basically, I'm trying to work out if it's the same suspension as the AE82. Several guides list it for the 1.6 and 18.d 5 door, which I'm certain were never sold in this country..
I've been on www.toyodiy.com to cross reference the part numbers, and whilst the first 5 digits are the same, the latter 4 aren't (e.g NSF spring is48131-1a860 but for the ae82 it's 48131- 1e420), but the description for the EE80 also shows AE8*. Can anyone shed any light on it?

For sale is my trusty Bluebird. The previous owner was a 93 year old who used to have it driven to the MOT centre and back, then parked up for a year. I checked the electronic MOTs online when I bought it and the car had done 75 miles in 5 years! It's the 2.0 SLX metallic paint, with power steering and possibly the comfiest seats of any car I've ever owned. It's also incredibly reliable and has never once let me down.
Brakes overhauled, new pads and shoes, timing belt done, cooling flushed and did an oil and filter changed recently. Has a Lada Riva rear spoiler, upgraded speakers all round, cd player (I still have the original radio if you want it) stainless backbox since the old one rotted out, but it's barely any louder than standard. Loads of tread left on the tyres, and whilst the wheels won't be to everyone's taste, I still have the original steels and hubcaps. Only bad points is a bit of rust on the driver's door and faded bumpers, which is purely cosmetic and to be expected of a car this age.
It's a genuinely great car, but I'm just bored of it and want to move on. I'm also open to swaps, pretty much anything that isn't a project considered. I'll be at the Gathering over the weekend if you want a look
