A very famous actor and congenial comedian from Austria, Roland Düringer de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_D%C3%BCringer is selling his japanese car collection and some other cars to donate the money to a man in a wheelchair to have his car converted after a motorcycle-accident.
Here is the collection:
Nissan Figaro '92 Toyota Crown '73 VW Beetle '72 Nissan Cube (Fake-Martini-Racing-Look) '04 Honda S800 Coupé '70 Volvo PV544 '63 Toyota Will Vi '06 Toyota Corolla Liftback '79 Mitsubishi Sapporo '80 Toyota Celica '77 Toyota Corolla Coupé '75 Daihatsu Move '99 Nissan Pao '88
I´ll bid on the Crown and especially on the Sapporo, but with Roland Düringers name in the car-papers and for charity, the prices will go very high, I fear. The auctions are starting in May 09 at ricardo.at , I´ll keep you updated!
Mr. Düringer ist known as a car-freak, he had a huge collection of US-cars and Hotrods, suddenly he sold all of them and after that he got this japanese car collection because his parents lived near a Datsun-dealer when he was a kid. Now he is selling nearly everything to convert the car of this disabled man. He will only keep three (!) Datsun 240Z and a Datsun Violet 160J SSS Coupe, everything else has to go.
I´ll try to get the Sapporo, let´s see how expensive it will get.
How much does it cost to make a "wheelchair friendly" car in Austria?? I would think selling 2 cars off that list would raise enough money, or even just 1 if they go for high price due to the famous owner.
Klick on "Video anschauen!", that means "look at the video". I know you wont understand much of the explanations from Mr. Düringer, but the pictures should be interesting too. I´m already registered, the hunt for the Sapporo is starting on Thursday. ;D
